From the meeting place, defined at the time of booking the tour, you will leave with our vehicles for a unique experience. Together with our naturalist guides you will begin to know one of the symbols of this wonderful land.
You will be able to admire a varied landscapes and, thanks to the comprehensive explanations of our guides, who are always up to date and available to answer your questions and satisfy your curiosity, you will learn about the biodiversity of the environment that distinguishes these unique places.

You will climb Mount Etna, up to an altitude of 2000 meters and admire the awakening of nature and life on the volcano from its slopes to the valley. Along the way you will be able to observe several lava flows including the one generated by the terrible eruption of 1991-93, the longest in the recent history of Etna.

With adequate equipment supplied by us and with the guide always at your side, you can experience the thrill of entering an authentic lava cave in complete safety.
Continuing through beech and birch woods, typical of Etna, you will reach the Rifugio Sapienza, at an altitude of 2000 meters.

The tour will head to the nearby Silvestri Craters where you can enjoy the wonderful view of lunar landscapes characterized by black dunes and expanses of solidified lava. The guide will provide you with scientific explanations of the volcanological phenomena that generated this authentic wonder of nature.

Continuing, you will visit the volcanic caldera of the Valle del Bove, this great arid and desert depression, almost completely lacking of vegetation but with a truly unique charm.

Going down towards the valley, the tour will stop in the village of Zafferana Etnea. Here you will be accompanied to a certified farm welcoming you with a tasting of typical products: delicious honeys and fine wines produced with grapes grown in the vineyards of the Etna area.

Leaving Zafferana Etna, you will be taken back to the meeting place.

Just October 2, 2025, the “Funivie dell’Etna” company, as owner of Silvestri’s craters, our trekking destination around 2000mt, imposed a ticket of €5,00 per person to visit the craters. The payment is only in cash and you can pay directly to the company.

The tasting in Zafferana etnea will not be carried out due to a Gastronomic event that does not allow the regular transit within the municipality of Zafferana etnea . The tour will be regularly active with the utmost safety and transparency. We apologize for the inconvenience.

During the winter months, the itinerary may be subject to changes at the guide’s discretion due to snow or ice, closed roads, or the inability to access impassable roads or paths, always respecting the rules and safety.
