From the meeting place, defined at the time of booking the tour, you will leave with our vehicles for a unique experience.
During the journey you will be able to admire lava flows from different age, you will visit recent and ancient craters and you will touch the so-called “volcanic bombs” that scatter accross the soil of the volcano.
Equipped with helmets and torch supplied by us, you will experience the thrill of exploring an authentic lava cave in complete safety.
Our Naturalist Guides will accompany you during the tour and will illustrate in a clear and simple way the volcanological phenomena that gave rise to these very particular places.
You will discover natural scenery of extraordinary beauty, including the lunar landscapes around the Silvestri Craters and the semi-desert area of the volcanic caldera “Valle del Bove” (Valley of the Ox).
When the sun goes down, the light of the sunset on Mount Etna will offer enchanting scenarios: you will find yourself immersed in a unique natural setting. You will be able to enjoy the splendid moments of sunset on Mount Etna and take memorable photos.
The tour includes a stop in the town of Zafferana Etnea (CT), a village on the slopes of Mount Etna known for the production of delicious honey. You will visit a certified farm that will host you by offering a tasting of typical products: Etna honeys and fine wines produced with grapes grown in the local vineyards.
During the winter months, the itinerary may be subject to changes at the guide’s discretion due to snow or ice, closed roads, or the inability to access impassable roads or paths, always respecting the rules and safety.
Just October 2, 2025, the “Funivie dell’Etna” company, as owner of Silvestri’s craters, our trekking destination around 2000mt, imposed a ticket of €5,00 per person to visit the craters. The payment is only in cash and you can pay directly to the company.
Dear Customer, we inform you that every Sunday in October our tours on the Etna volcano will undergo some changes both in the departure time, route and in the itinerary. The tasting in Zafferana etnea will not be carried out due to a Gastronomic event that does not allow the regular transit within the municipality of Zafferana etnea . The tour will be regularly active with the utmost safety and transparency. We apologize for the inconvenience.

According to the season, comfortable “layered” clothing, trekking shoes or sports shoes.
In winter: long trousers , heavy jacket, scarves, polar fleece, hat and gloves
In summer: long trousers, sunscreen and a spare shirt.
We recommend you to bring enough water and energy foods.

Autumn departure time (from August 31st to October 26th) from 2,30 pm to 7 pm
Winter departure time * (from October 27th to March 31st) from 1 pm/1.45pm to 6,00 pm/6,45 pm
*In case of adverse weather conditions or in case of icy and / or snowy roads, the excursion could be carried out at lower altitudes.
